|Post Date:||September 11, 2019|
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is offering scholarships to students who have completed their sophomore year and are majoring in disciplines related to oceanic and atmospheric science, research, or technology, and supportive of the purposes of NOAA's programs and mission, e.g., biological, social and physical sciences; mathematics; engineering; and computer and information sciences.
The goal of the Undergraduate Scholars Program is to increase the number and diversity of students who undertake course work and graduate with degrees in targeted academic fields integral to NOAA's mission. This program targets students who have completed their sophomore year, attending minority serving institutions (MSIs), and have recently declared, or about to declare a major in atmospheric, oceanic, or environmental disciplines that support these sciences.
